Orange County is dedicated to conserving water and helping you lower your water bill.

If you are a homeowner with an inground irrigation system and are using more than 15,000 gallons of water per month, chances are that your sprinkler system may need some repair.

Orange County Utilities will have a licensed irrigation expert perform a free evaluation of your system and provide you with a list of recommendations that will save you money and improve the efficiency of your irrigation system.

To be eligible for this free service, you must:

  • Be an Orange County Utilities (OCU) water customer
  • Use at least an average of 15,000 gallons of water per month
  • Have an inground irrigation system that uses potable (drinking) water

  • Install irrigation devices that are the most water efficient for each use. Micro– and drip-irrigation and soaker hoses are examples of efficient devices. 
  • Check sprinkler systems and timing devices regularly to be sure they operate properly.
